A New Site. A New LEAD.

Our CEO gives you a brief outline of LEAD's ambitious plans for Q4 of 2021, from our new website to our new programs.

Today, we are proud to launch our new website, linkingefforts.com.

In addition to launching the main site, we will be adding interactive Resource Areas for a variety of different stakeholders, from Parents and Teens to Schools and Prevention Organizations. Each area will be rolling out alongside new social media channels featuring rich, engaging, informative content, month-to-month as we bring 2021 to a close and set our eyes upon 2022.

Since LEAD is first and foremost an advocate for local change, we will start our new set of initiatives in September, focusing on our own Lake Forest / Lake Bluff communities. Look for a new series of in-person and online events, such as our forthcoming Weathering the Storm series, meant to offer parents and community members the opportunity to examine the year, the changes it has brought to the area, and the solutions for tackling these new issues. Likewise, keep an eye out online for new posts and programs designed specifically for parents.

In October, we will be offering a behind the scenes view of the various tools, methodologies, and operational capabilities that power LEAD‘s national programs such as TextForHelp.app and our tailor-made advisory services. Learn how we use cutting edge technology coupled with a deep knowledge of the prevention landscape to provide schools, communities, and organizations with the tools they need to impact local lives.

November will bring one of our most ambitious programs yet. Do you know a young person interested in entering prevention as a career? We at LEAD will be putting together methods and materials meant to help shape the next generation of community leaders and change-makers. Our new Young Preventionists programs will offer assets and action plans for teens and young adults seeking to engage with substance misuse in their circles whilst simultaneously helping them develop the skills they need to succeed in said mission.

Finally, December will bring a new set of surprises meant to herald our endeavors as we head into the next year. LEAD will be launching a new Monthly Donors program, alongside an online Donors Hub & Community, aimed at linking you and donors like you with the efforts we engage in daily. Expect to hear more about this forthcoming program as we enter the year’s final months.

100 for 100

Today, we also kickoff our 100 for 100 Giving Campaign. Our hope is that you (and at least 99 others) will consider joining our chain of donors by making a contribution of $100 or more. If we reach our goal, this campaign will make it possible for LEAD to amplify prevention in our community and beyond by putting to use $10,000 towards tools such as TextForHelp.app and other forthcoming programs. You will hear more about this campaign in the coming weeks, and in the meantime, you can learn more or make a gift here. Our road to $10,000 begins here with you!

LEAD is closing 2021 with vigorous energy and approaching 2022 with ambitious aspirations. We hope that you will join us along the way, as we amplify and expand our efforts.

Sincerely,
Andy Duran, CEO, LEAD
